    What do you mean the aluminum tops are not built to stand on? Maybe not aftermarket roofs. OEM aluminum roofs are 1/4” thick and very tough. I have jumped up and down on mine. It is solid. And you can put another 1/4” on top of that with the overlay.

    aluminum wont rust. There is a plate to cover the big hole. Put a seal under it...

    You put a round plate over the hole like on all the m1165s have. i think the link above is for the aluminum m1165 roof. The 1248xxxx part number is newer.
