I have to ask; what does fluid level have to do with the sensor operation?

Mine has a hard line in the way so it was hard to get a good angle.

Mine is the factory harness and plug in plastic wire loom. It's hadn't been modified until I spliced in the replacement sensor.

But when I disconnect that one, I'm stuck in 2nd gear almost immediately.

Transmission will not shift out of 2nd gear if the sensor is disconnected. It shifted normally after reconnecting it and erasing the 25 11 code. It's not shrapnel from the last one; it won't shift, at least on mine, until it sees a good speed sensor.

It's a 1997 and the sensor is a new Output Speed Sensor from NAPA. Looks like the original except plastic.

So just to make sure one more time, I unplugged the sensor, rolled about 30 feet and got this once again: Hooked it back up, cleared the code and it drove fine. So does that mean I have a different transmission perhaps?
