    I'm not at all an answer man, but I'm pretty sure you can't go wrong hitting any rubber seals with some silicone before buttoning it all back up. Hoping somebody else here can either support that or shoot it down.

    I can't figure how it matters, but I know some people swear by wet-sanding in the fine grits. Do you sand wet, or dry?

    PIA when you go to the trouble to do something right, but then you get no instructions (or even more frustrating: instructions are hazy and unclear). Wish I could help you here, but beyond my pay grade. Someone likely to chime in though. Did you try a call to Memphis?
