    G'day everyone,.... Well on another forum (motorbike) I am on its been tested and proved that Diesel oils run better and are better for bike engines. Aussie.

    G'day everyone,..... Well this says it all for me,.... I think we can agree that in an emergency situation where no other oil is available we can use 30W (40-50W better) oil to get going again until we can get hold of 80W-90. Aussie.

    G'day everyone,... Sounds like your Diesel#1 is what we call 'Alpine Diesel' That is used in winter in the snow fields. I will have to see about getting some pic/ literature about it. Aussie.

    G'day everyone,.... Sorry if I was misunderstood, I am suggesting is it really a big issue to add a zinc additive when we do the oil changes if it will benefit so much? Sorry if it was the way I phrased it. Aussie.

    G'day everyone,.... Is this really an issue since these vehicles don't have catalytic converters? If these engines will benefit from a little extra zinc added to its oil surly that's a must at every regular service. Just my thoughts. Aussie.

    G'day everyone,.... In the comment section BC mentions he would use a 50w oil but it wasn't available at the time. Also in the vid he mentions that that's the type of oil the spicer gearbox was meant to use,.... I know gear oil has a higher shear resistance but if you used the 50w oil it...
