Installing gears and lockers is a bunch of work, but isn't too far beyond mechanically inclined people. In simplified terms, you put the gears in there, smear the teeth with colored grease, look at the wear pattern in the grease as you turn them, take it back apart and adjust, then repeat...
I'm not nearly as curious about "how lockers perform in an LMTV" in general, as I am about the quality of THESE brand/design/quality. Are they "Detroit" lockers as in "they follow the general detroit locker design", or are they actually manufactured by Eaton (or whoever owns the "Detroit Locker"...
