Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting that things are better than they used to be, only that of all the things to make a fuss over...the $60 fee for the SF-97 is really low on the list and not without precident in the private sector.
Not accurate. Document fees when buying a vehicle is fairly new. There were no document fees on a 1971 Mustang. This is something that was added to boost profits along the way.
Why is paying $60.00 for paperwork wrong when you pay the same type of document fees anytime you purchase a vehicle of any kind from a dealership?
I'm all or complaining about GL if a vehicle gets parts stolen after purchase or the moron with the forklift causes damage that wasn't there prior...
You pay for paperwork everytime you buy any vehicle (except a private party) so this really isn't a battle worth fighting.
Last thing we need is someone in the gov. figuring out that the SF-97 can be taxed by the state or some other nonsense. Even worse would be they simply stop issuing...
