Thanks Wes. I’m not sure how I would make these work in my 14” tank. They have a 10” unit then jump to 17” . Our beloved and grossly inaccurate M series gauges go from 0 ohms to I think 40 ohms. So you would have to replace the gauge to match these units. Now I have to measure the tank in my M37...
Now you have my interest. I was not aware that there was some other type of sending unit. I had a hard time finding a replacement unit. The one I found is a float type much like the original unit. What does the newer one look like?
I had this issue on my M934. It was the sending unit causing it. Here is how I tested it. First I installed a new ground wire from the frame to the sending unit. Then I connected a 10 ohm resistor from ground to the wire that goes to the gauge (at the tank with the sending unit disconnected). I...
