Thanks for that added detail retiredwarhorses. I did some searching and bought an NOS cable off the auction site. Listed as 85". Is that the new or old style? If new, I'd appreciate a description of how it is supposed to be run, as my long later cable is definitely not run correctly. Bulldogger

Well BLK HMMWV wins. I traced it to the speedometer. Why that cable needs to be two and a half feet longer than needed I don't know. Rather than remove and lube it as planned, I'll probably just replace it with a more correctly sized one. Bulldogger
