    dilvoy, interesting about the bolts. I'd never heard of such a thing. I have seen head bolts get annealed, slightly, from heat and lose their ability to hold a good torque, but that was on an old Harley. Is there a risk tightening the GM bolts in place? I realize it's unlikely to stop the...

    Thank you for the replies gentleman. I don't have the luxury of good working conditions to remove and replace heads now that the cold-weather has arrived. Are there no effective temporary fixes, or can I just leave it to weep? Bulldogger

    I mentioned this in my HMMWV rebuild thread but don't think anyone noticed, so putting it out here. I've noticed what appears to be a new tiny bit of weeping between the head and block at the front left corner of the motor. Tiny, tiny bubbles when it's running. I don't think it's using up...
