    RE: Re: Installing a tach on the M1009 well, the governor is supposed to be set at 3600rpm, but i have heard that some of the trucks got IP's that were set at 4200rpms.

    once installed you need to tune it so its accurate, also if the belt slips it will be off. but as installed should get you close enough to to worry about it.
