    MEP-003a No voltage

Running a load of laundry in dryer and running AC unit should allow a good enough 240V balanced load for reliability testing purposes. BTW, good job sticking with it! You certainly know your generator much better than when you started. You yourself are now officially tested and approved!

    MEP-003a No voltage

Just a thought...Haven't seen any mention of testing the "Rotating Diodes". If you do a search here using "Rotating Diodes MEP-003a" (Also MEP-002a) there are several good threads for symptoms of no AC output due to bad rotating diodes and testing of the 6 rotating diodes and how to replace...

    MEP-003a No voltage

Well we know that you have/had more than one problem. If you found a broken wire in T2 plus the Linear Reactor failed test and those components are now replaced you have another issue responsible for no output voltage. Just to cover the bases...Have you exercised the "AC Voltage Reconnection...

    MEP-003a No voltage

Yep, that was my hunch and why I suggested checking those 2 transformer's for a broken wire soldered to screw terminal tabs, that would certainly explain the high voltage reading and why it was intermittent. Glad you took the time to ohm them out and discovered that one was in fact bad. If you...

    MEP-003a No voltage

Yes, they are the same and are available new and used. T1 is a 5 lead and T2 is the 4 lead one. PN's are in the -24P TM.

    MEP-003a No voltage

Ref Post 52: Ref Post 60: It sure seems like it's pointing to an intermittent problem with the VR seemingly working properly at times. I had a similar problem with voltage intermittently shooting high until it consistently shot high and stayed there. Turned out to be a broken winding lead...

    MEP-003a No voltage

I don't think their is enough evidence to pinpoint the VR as the culprit at this stage just yet. There are multiple transformers not associated with the VR board that influence voltage. There are ways to Ohm out the transformers but I don't recall which manual has the test info off the top of...
