    Mule drain plug identification Help

    It's a good idea to pull this plug once a year to let any accumulation drain out. Not unusual to see a little oil drain out, but it should not be much. Bad axle seals will let the gear oil into the flywheel, bad rear crankshaft seal will let engine oil in.

    That's just a drain for the bellhousing as you suspect, but it should have a plug in it.
