MN requires the light, so it will be one of my first projects when I get home. Sounds like you had good luck with the one from Erik's? Let me know how well it holds up. I looked at ordering the same light, but had wondered about the best wiring set-up. The "Y" seems to be a good way to go. -

The best way to get the CORRECT answer is google your state traffic codes. The legal code will go line by line and tell you what is required (where to mount or not mount the plate(s), if you are required to have a light, etc.). If they (the state) requires anything, it MUST be in their code...
