    That's my thoughts to mike if oil is good for more heat and all the other things why change. I didn't buy a car or 50k pickup I like the feel of driving a TRUCK. And the synthetic's in my opinion would be a waste of cash.

    Been doing some more research and everyone running dex should be fine as long as your not doing extreme off roading or heavy hauling or doing both off rd heavy hauling. This would not include pulling trailers. The reason from what I am unstanding is dex has a lower boiling point and will over heat.

    I have 10 w in my 1984 M923 Andy who lives near me has 15/40 in his 1984 M923 Allison if I read it right says dex is for hwy use 10 w is for off road use and heavy load use. So in my opinion if 10w is for extreme heavy use it should be good for hwy use.
