    redline is 3600 rpms, though I've also seen it said that is the max rpms under load, and under no load it could do 4200 rpms, but what's the point of that? Idle is around 550 rpms give or take 25 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Detroit_Diesel_V8_engine
