It won't wear out the center of the tire like you think it will. When you put it on the ground it will flatten out. 16x8s would be fine, but 16x10s would work better like you said. I put my 1100R16 XZLs on the stock 6.5 wide rims, they're pretty much flat and look and ride great.

Since you're doing the same as me and using a ORD shackle flip on the rear, don't forget to use the ZeroRates to move the axle back about an inch. Flipping the shackle over swings the rear end of the leaf pack downwards to make lift and at the same time pushes the center pin forward and that...
