Started to say drum lock but couldn't figure out the funky bending. So is it still spring loaded? So just swing it forward to clear the tab, push inward the swing back to the inside of the tab to hold it unlocked?

Spicergear I am not trying to say your idea is bad, use the heck out of it. But I have broken several of the 20,000 lbs Garwood winches and the fairlead doesn't add any support across the front and it will snap the small rollers off if you pull very much at all to the sides.

Okay the pins if he uses tow bar pins will hold almost 90,000 lbs I think he is good there and as to bumpers look around at all the crap the pickup truck guys have on front of their bumpers. But I do have a critique to raise, these winches spread very badly when boxed in by the frame luckily...
