Found the switch!
It was the map reading light! they replaced the lamp with a ground down bolt that was glued into the cap and rewired the socket so you turned it out a few turns and it cut power to the relay module. I'm putting my EGT gauge there so not a loss.
Finally got the SF97 in the mail today!
Time to....work on my jeep since the transmission just stopped while coming home from work today....:-(
Guess I'll go to AAA next week :-(
I did when I to pick it up and there was fluid, I didn't check to see if it was dot 3 or 5. Now we did have to tow it, so brakes weren't needed on the deuce anyway
I'll pop down there tomorrow morning and check again maybe its level is lower.
And I got it running!
Got home from work and found the package from ambac, it was ripped open but I found the clip on the stairs up to my porch hurrah!
When I got down to the truck it was already 18:00 but by 20:00 it was running great, till I found out about the poor mans security system...
Well the spider didn't come in yet so probably monday, right in time for some more snow :-x
I took some pictures of the button, Do most pumps have the 01 button? Mine is stamped 03, from the pictures of other thread about the HH and etc I see a few of those buttons are convex on one side and...
The polish section, is polished but one section looks alittle off centered like the spider held it in place but off at a angle till I pulled the HH.
I cleaned the button and the hold that goes threw it was clogged with crud, so I'm guessing the button's wear surface lost lubrication.
I bought...
I'll get a better picture of the button, the bottom with the slot looks fine but the top where its concave looks like it has some metal to metal contact that polished it. Unless it was polished already.
Well I tried to take off one of the door decals, heatgun and plastic scrapper, and ended up taking off the paint.
now I have to get out my vinyl cutter and make some crazy decal to cover the missing paint.
"sharknado defense command"
"MPG reduction force: for every gallon your prius doesn't...
Well It was a 12 hour day today, but I have it at my storage yard. There was some digging going on on my road so we had to stash it there.
Many many thanks to Dillon and his wrecker!
But left my place at 08:00 got there at 10:15 and signed for it and went back to the lot, and it looked great...
All the filters
Grabbed two batteries at rural king, pulled two 5 gallon buckets of rotella out of the shed.
Got a pile of silicon orings for the HH, got a piece of 3/8 dowel rod,
Pulled 15 feet of link belt out of the mechanical supplies shelves.
Grabbed a bunch of pipe fittings off of my work...
Wow I was getting quotes to get it hauled $1100 :(
And that was the lowest...
Just hit up Napa for fuel filters and fuses, going to see if I can talk them into letting my try to drive it back.
The knuckle boom is actually rather light only 400ish pounds I walked it off the trailer. And the bed hoist if I build it should be about the same so I'm loosing less than a half a ton. I hope the SF97 and PennDot hijinks aren't going to be horrible.
I'm actually going to mount it in the bed, with sub frame that goes through the bed to the frame, with a pivot pin on each corner so I can swing the crane to either side.
Its not that large of a crane actually, its only rated for half ton. But I'm going to do some work on it first and mount...
Well the road is going to be done in sections I don't have enough vacation to tackle it all at once, so it going to be a few tons at a time 3 at the most of #57 gravel. I'm planning on the dump hoist over the summer when I mount the knuckle boom crane.
So hopefully I'm Not going to unloading by...
I hadn't thought about using the tires for retaining walls! Thats a great idea I'll need to make a thumb for my skid steer bucket to move around the 11.00-20" and other tractor tires that he stashed places but that should be hard.
Well I was going to unload with my new holland l-425, First I was going to do some 2 wheel self unloading hijinks and then make a cut out in this one hill/slope then dig in some logs for a field expediant loading dock.
Drive on, grab a half ton of gravel, go and dump where I need it, repeat...
I doubt parades, but a ton of work I have 55 acres that I need to haul my skid steer back and forth from my house to maintain, cut in a berm for a backstop for my pistol range, and to haul 175ish tons of gravel to rebuild the road.
A bunch of guys on SxS and ATV's tore the road to shreads this...
I dont know about the red paint job, I've had fire trucks before, looking for something in OD :)
From talking with the mechanic it was well taken care of he thought they were going to fix the fuel pump and send her to a new fire department.
