    "AO" is reference to the folding cab on on the FMTVs. Namely the M1081, M1093 and M1094. The engine in mine is the CAT 3116, common during the '90's on GM Top Kicks and Kodiaks. BAE told me it had the A1 upgrades, as there is a year difference between the manufactured date and the delivery date...

    Aaaah, just go " borrow" a couple of batteries from your neighbors' cars:roll:... the only reason you need the 6TL is because the cover won't close on anything else.... except a group 24, and then you need to get fancy with wiring because of the post locations... if the engine is going to start...

    Oh brother, the TMs you got aren't going to help on the relays, but in TM 9-2320-365-20-3, Table 7-1 , the Relays are listed (K#, voltage, throw (ex spst, or spdt) and function ) and the CBs. I went through and painted the 12v relays with a white dot and 24v with a red. same with the sockets...

    You only need 2 batteries to start it. Just insulate the unused terminals.Just be sure to use all 3 taps for 12v and 24v... I've been using 2 mismatched batteries since last July. Once the truck is ready, I'll buy 4 new batteries.

    It's an air driven pump that operates the hydraulics, and they are slow. You need to remember the tires on the FMTVs are 340 lbs. The standard cab around 1400 lbs. The unit also does the suspension compression for air transport
