IF you can track down a two pin plug assembly, it can be attached by soldering, not a difficult process other than getting the insert shoved into the housing once it's all finished up.

I'm not seeing what I used at all anymore. So, you may end up having to use a newer single pin cable and snatch up the single to double pin converter.
