Ray, find a few pics attached, it has its own fuel pump. Water from outlet at water pump and back to block. Bring temp up to 150° in about 6 min.

It is the Arctic heather kit, diesel powered. Will confirm tomorrow but bring the engine temp to 140 or so by circulating the antifreeze through the block. I’ll dig out my TM for reference # ( I followed guyfang ethos “read the TM” :). )

Guyfang, I can't figure out how to do a PM , so I will do it on open forum at the risk of exposing complete ignorance :) . I have a diesel engine with fuel, air, compression, mechanical governor and solenoid that engage as it should and "crank" using S1 or dead crank switch ( I have short...

    Mep 803a hydro locked

I removed, cleaned , adjusted / readjusted 1/2 dozen times. Looks ok but doesn't produce the 2.5 to 3 volts. I have a new one on order. Just wondering if that alone is the reason engine turns but will not start ( no sputtering ects. - similar to gaz engine with no spark)

Guyfang, quick question. Got everything together. I have good compression, fuel, solenoid engage as it should. Engine turns freely but wont run. MPU at the sensor register at max. .8 v ac. ( adjusted/readjusted as per TM and forum) Read most/all your post. And everything on " crank...

    Mep 803a hydro locked

Was able to get all 4 injectors off. Turns freely now. #3 spewed out gook out of injector port. Was able to suck all liquid from #3 and smaller amounts from the other 3 cylinder. It was definitely oil in the cylinder not fuel ( clean oil - kind of) When I got the set the whole air...

K, looked into it a bit further, all valve move up and down fine. No bent push rod . was able to remove 2 injectors so far, inserted long qtip. Black sludge on injectors and on top of piston. I assume next step if lifting the head. Will look for a TM. If anyone has tips or advice for...

In process of getting 803 running ( never fired up this far). A bit of history; got this set on Canadian version of gov surplus. No history, no indication of conditions at time of purchase. Set has 1810hrs and from different marking on various parts looks like it was serviced then parked...
