    Break the ice and do it, then report back the process and outcome. And give updates as mileage is out on. The problem is not many have done it already. I’d like to hear about it for one especially if I can simply get 300hp without sacrificing reliability, for cheap.

    The majority of the 3116 engines produced were of the 175 hp variety. They could not be turned up much without breaking parts. The engines in the FMTV platforms with the 225 and up all have the stronger internals for higher hp. I believe the parts change was at the stock 185hp and up.

    1083 will have 290 hp, and the A1 330 with the 3126 engine. There is the rack travel screw that will get you more HP, but the two engine types are known to build heat fast "EGT". And at those ratings they are near the peak of designed output.
