The difference is just the Powertrain on these rigs, but if you drive a 1123 it feels the same to me, as if your driving a tractor on the streets, My 2 cents, it don't matter m998,1123,1097....It it all depends on what you're doing to the rig, I have a 1986 m998 with 6.6 dmax and Allison 6 speed...
