Just need a manufacture date if it's there, if not I can guesstimate it. It'll be a little code in a circle or something if not just a date stamped on there.
After that your personal info like shipping address and such and its off. Will your wife make a run to the port for you?
With all of the barrels around there I bet there is one that would fit on the end of a pipe wrech (if you have one) and could be used as a cheater.
Sounds like you need a hammer or the blue wrench to me. Do you have a blue wrench (torch) available?
How bout a nice big ball peen? If you have...
Sounds like a plan! [thumbzup]
Normally it will be on the link ejection side (chute) stamped somewhere on there. If not there it'll probably be on the topcover or backplate. There are no dataplates on these types of weapons, just stampings.
If you think you can break down the mount then you...
I need to know what the manufacture is too, it can be a Degtyarev manufacture, a Cugir (which is polish), etc. Lots of other licensed copies out there and I need to know who exactly and the serial number/manufacture code.
Heres a cutaway of the KMT so you can see how it strips.
It'd be a good idea if you could, just divorce it out of there an then start gutting it. Pull the backplate off and dump the internals and save them somewhere. Next take the barrel out of the shroud and then take the shroud loose from the reciever. The booster on the muzzle (cone) will just...
Very nice, yeah the ZPU-4 would be the best but hmmmm might be a little difficult to box that up LOL! Next time you go back, could you check the right side of the reciever right there by the ammo box cradle and see what the manufacture date and manufacturer is.
Cool deal, the sucker would look good in your front yard I bet....I should know...I have a 20mm in mine!
Get the info and send some detailed pics when you can, after that I will get the paperwork squared for you. 8)
If you can afford the shipping, break it down and see how many smaller components you can knock it down into, you could start doing that now. The wheels, trails, and barrel will be your biggest obstacle as far as size goes. I want to say the single underslung buffer on the single ZPU mount is...
Big double guns are either 37mm M1939 (Type55) AA guns or S-60 57mm AA guns and the little one with the perforated jacket you see in the front in the next is a 14.5mm ZPU-1. The ZPU is a nice one to nab, nice and easily packable
Send me some pics of what you find and I can identify them and procure demils for them. I will PM you my email that you can reach me.
Right now I'm fixin to head out bud so have a great day and stay safe out there in the sandbox! :)
Sounds like a plan. Find several because you will want a backup in the event that something happens. You can list several on one F-6 but that doesn't mean you have to get all.
Pick something light. Something not too bulky that you think you could ship broken down to components through DHL or...
Excellent dude! We used DHL last time too, thats who I was thinking of and couldn't remember.
OK just got back a quick email from my buddy. He says we need to have the paperwork done on the things you want prior to you talking to any CO about shipping it home. This was the part that I was not...
