Ok, I really have to ask since I didn't see where anyone else had asked... Exactly how tall is that thing with the commo shelter? I know a HEMTT is big, and that shelter isn't exactly small and the pics with the phone and cable lines kinda made me wonder if you are going to have to dodge...

Wow. Well, there is a lesson for all of us who dream of owning a HEMTT. They are pretty expensive to own and maintain, lol. I'm glad you are getting it fixed so you can enjoy it but I don't envy the cost.

Good point. Google images comes up with lots of nice pics if you search "Mk19 grenade launcher" that you can use for reference. Here is also some good info and pics: http://world.guns.ru/grenade/gl19-e.htm

Thanks for the pics! I had no idea they were fabricated, they look just like the ones I have seen on other HEMTT models.

Those are factory steps for a HEMTT, one of two types. It seems that some HEMTT models had the lower step made with two large pieces of wire rope and other models all seem to have the hinged step with chain like DMA's.

DMA, could you get a few closeup pics of the folding step on the bottom of the cab the next time you are taking some pics? I want to fabricate something similar for my truck in the future and would like to see how those pivot and how they are made. Thanks in advance!
