Here's a few of the of the parts that will go on the truck eventually. I picked up these headlight guards with the extra hoops a few years back. I also bought a few sets of brackets I was told are for adding lollipop style lights to the front of Dodges but I'd never seen them used on trucks...

The removal of the body went as well as it could have, it's now sitting on its trailer and the rest of the truck is almost all torn apart.

The box structure is for storing an aluminum ladder. It definitely gives the truck a unique look. We started today by removing the winch, which we should have done before pulling the engine. Then another m37 owner showed up for some body parts from the engine donor truck. Since the fenders...

Now that you mentioned it, I can't remember if I cleaned out the map compartment or not.:shock: What's in the yard for m37 stuff is nothing compared to what used to be here. Folks who have been into MVs for awhile may have bought parts out of this place or from dealers that bought them here...

Almost a year later and nothing has changed with the R2.:shrugs: A lot of other smaller projects have taken priority. We did pick up some parts trucks last year, so we've got decent fenders, the right pintle setup, and a couple other engines to look at if it comes down to that. We dragged it...

Well, a couple cylinders had no compression so we pulled the head which confirmed a couple stuck valves. Everything looks good now so we'll hopefully have it back together this weekend. The odometer indicates around 7000 miles which seems to be in the ballpark based on the original tires up...

Well, it cranks over good but doesn't run - there's no spark. The distributor vent lines are missing so it's possibly a cooked coil, or one of the other common distributor problems. On the plus side the floodlights on the roof work, as well as the dome light in the cab and some of the gauges...

Black Ops did some pressure washing this morning, there's still a ton of cleaning to do. The motor does indeed turn over so we'll take a closer look at getting it running this afternoon. The interior is pretty much gutted, but it looks like a good candidate for a cosmetic restoration.

It was down near Saratoga NY. The first thing after cleaning it up is to see if the motor turns over/runs. The ad stated the motor was stuck; the owner said he put oil down the spark plug openings once in a while so we'll see if it frees up. I know when winching it on the trailer it moved a...

My brother found an R2 listed for sale this morning for a good price, so after a few hours of driving we bought it! It looks to be in decent shape, it needs work but it's definitely worth saving. I'll take a closer look at it tomorrow and post some more pictures.
