    There is better people than me on this board for electric stuff. Could you use a multi meter and see if there is continuity between one wire and the housing. If not then would it matter what wire was power to make it trip.

    To me it would be what ever it was with no power so maybe blow through it and see if it is open or closed. I bet two cents N/C

    ouch. Wonder if it would work no matter which way they were hooked. Myself I would just make some quick pig tails on it and test it on a 24 volt source.
