Everything new, still wouldn't start on it's own - SOLVED!

Long way to go to get out of IDA's way but ok. X wife just outside of New Orleans some shingles roof damage let water in living room and bedroom closet. Brother in law in Houma vary little damage to house and he stayed at Houma FBO. Airport took lots of damage. As for the plunger I just lean...

Dam you up early!! No problem. Garrett have no problem with you and you have always helped people with the trucks with no attitude. Now once again not saying it is the plunger sticking just that it was thrown in a discussion. Even outside of the box IP stops with plunger almost all the way down...

I will have to say that yes plungers and there bores can wear. After talking to the OP he said the other owner had run all kinds of crap through the system for fuel. Now it has been talked about the unfiltered WMO can be real bad for the tolerances of plunger and bore. Just not adding something...

Everything new, still wouldn't start on it's own - SOLVED!

Well we will never know where the button is when the head is installed. I do not believe that little flimsy retainer clip can take all the pressure of the plunger spring and spring set up below it and not have an advantage of the design of the timing button and tappet assembly below. The...

Well just glad he is up and running again. AMBAC serviced / rebuilt the heads I was selling wonder if they still will. The Deuces are cool trucks but give me the 809 series or the only truck I love and have now the 915A2.

Everything new, still wouldn't start on it's own - SOLVED!

You would think but in the first post he said it was running fine just hard starting. Seems like most cases when button falls off then there is a no run problem. Wonder here the button / clip fell of when he removed the head. Since the button / plunger has some pressure on it from the tappet /...

Todays spit ball. After you do get it started on a light spray how do the injectors sound. Does it blow lot of black smoke when you blip the throttle? Also just wondering if your injectors are the two hole. Would seem if you have the two hole and they are atomizing ok then you could rule out...

You can do it. You did the main fuel and did not break the stud so now you do the head. Also I pm you as I deleted your number so call me back when you can talk.

Well if we have removed the timing cover ( some call it the shut down cover) and the fuel control is moving free and clear. It is going to 7 o clock could be something simple. I have never seen it but if the shut down cover and the linkage that pulls back the fuel control unit assembly was not...
