    Try not to laugh but !

    One might be ahead, just buying a bunch or AR500 plate, a 300A stick-arc, a plasma cutter and go for it. Build a drivetrain based on deuce or 5-ton parts, decent powerplant, eTc. Copy the basic look, 99 out of 100 won't know the difference. It would probably be just as "hard" as a real one...

    You'd be better off getting a Ferret. Maybe even a Salidin or Saracin. https://khakicorpsimports.com/vehicles.htm Quite a few in the US, easier on the wallet, parts available from the UK. Better armor and not subject to US gov't 'taking back' problems. Rolls Royce powered, even! DG

    All the armor used in test programs at the Yuma Proving Grounds has been modded with A/C. Mostly ThermoKings. And the tops were painted white. Jus' sayin... DG
