    The only time MPG is a concern, is when I'm taking it on a longer trip, and where to buy fuel at the best deal. Or if I should load up some barrels to cover the trip, like I did in California. Locally, I don't care.

    The Mack engines seem to get a little better mileage than the multifuels, from what I've heard. When I was driving to the Big Bear rally in Modesto, Ca, it was a about 750 mi from home, and I used a bit over 100 gallons of Diesel. A friend of mine had a gasser M54, he got a bit over 3MPG. Ouch.

    That is my average, in putting over 25,000 miles on it since it came from the auction back in the early 90's.

    My M54A1 gets 7MPG in hot weather, 7.5 in cold.
