    Even my 2008 came with 15w40 so that's almost certainly what it will have. The military doesn't swap out for different fluid. They always put in what they originally came with in my experience.

    My truck has about 7,000 miles on it now. The trans definitely has 15w40 in it. I just pulled a sample a few days ago - on the dip stick it looks nearly new. In the sample bottle it's a little darker than new oil would be. Very clean though.

    FWIW - the military does not switch them over - the newest trucks do run ATF (A1P2's, etc) - but older trucks still in inventory that came with 15w40 still get serviced with 15w40. If they go in for the A1P2 overhaul they come back with ATF.
