@m-35tom Did you ever get those A/C brackets in? I have my interior gen2 unit thanks to a member here, along with the compressor and the pulley from CAT. I'm not sure what I'm doing for a condenser just yet, but it seems the brackets are still the long pole in the tent here.

Anyone have the NSN for the gen2 military evaporator unit? I'm sure it's buried in here somewhere but I gave up searching for it because both "nsn" and "air" are too short and all of my results are garbage.

Neither. It's drivers side, but higher than the 2 part mount. I twill likely require moving the charge air piping to make room for the compressor. There's a diagram in post #495

So, the a/c compressor mount I posted above came in, and it is a RedDOT part. What would RedDot have made that fit a compressor on a 3116/3126/c7 that was not the "correct" 2 part mount? Being a RedDOT part makes me a bit less anxious about using it should I not be able to lay hands on the 2...

Sure enough. That bracket goes right where the charge air lines are. Maybe they can be moved?

FWIW, I was able to find and order the crank pulley from my local dealer. Should be able to pick it up in a couple of days. AAAAnd. I found a bit of a different bracket for the A/C Compressor, not sure it'll work, but it looks like it should and it specifically says it's for the 3116. And...

I have not seen this style before. However, I did consider that the LMTV specific unit was just a metal box with heat and A/C bits in it. It would not be hard to make a similar metal box and put in a Vintage Air heat and A/C unit in it. I still might go that route, but these back wall units are...

I'm not 100% sure with the 3126, but I looked at the 3116 that GM put in some of the Topkick trucks. Every one I found had the A/C brackets on the passenger side, which was made possible by running a much smaller civilian alternator on that side.
