    If it's an old style mech switch, often it's just a wire broken off at the micro switch. The S9-1 contacts have to be closed to start the gen set. At the spec. RPM, the S9-1 opens, shutting off the starter and at the same time closes contacts to light off the static Excitor. The S9-2 contacts...
