    That's what I meant. Valve job. Check the valves. But before I did check, I would do all the rest of the things mentioned. If it runs at all, the problem is not the valves.

    Electric start was an add on. I never saw one, before the late 70's, early 80's. I almost gave myself 1000 heart attacks, pull starting these engines. They ran great, or not at all.

    Does it have electronic ignition on it? Have you down loaded all the TM's for this engine and gen set?
