What did you do to your deuce this week?

I have 3/8" reinforced clear tubing vented to a bracket over my shoulder next to the driver seat for the front/rear axles and transfer case that each terminate at a clear fuel filter. I also have a 3/8" vent on the fuel tank to a bracket on the spare tire rack behind the cab. These mods were...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Drove my bobbed deuce to lunch. Topped her off with diesel. Called the local Fire Department and volunteered for deep water rescue (if needed) because of Hurricane Ida. I was told the newer trucks can't ford as much water. Passed by a bunch back in the flood of 2016 that were stranded like...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

When I took the PTO cover plate off you can see a large gear in there. Is that what the Chelsea PTO mates up to? Stupid question, but some AT 545's are missing the PTO gear in there? I don't know how common it is. I don't really have a need for a PTO (dump bed, snow plow, etc). If I had...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Drained the transmission fluid. Dropped the pan. Decide to use Permatex The Right Stuff instead of a gasket. Used it on the Allison AT545 PTO block-off plate too. Let it cure a week. :D Swapped on a new WIX 51622 remote transmission filter. Put in 20 quarts of DEX MERC. Made the cold mark...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I replaced my starter yesterday on my 6BT engine swap after 3 years and 3000 miles of use. Apparently driving through 4-5 ft of water during the August 2016 Great Louisiana Flood got water where it shouldn't have been. No clue why it took 7 months to create sludge and make it's way to the...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I replaced the dead electric oil pressure sender on my bobber earlier this week. Talk about a pucker factor while driving at 56 mph, 2700 rpm and the oil pressure goes from 75 psig to zero! No underwear was harmed in the process. Click here for the direct link to my build thread post to see...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Yes sir. Both courtesy of CSM Davis. I like how it feels the emptiness left by not running a spare where the factory deuce spare resides.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Added a 10 pound fire extinguisher to the side of my bobber. Check out the [DIRECT LINK HERE] to my build thread post for more pictures and information on the fire extinguisher.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I finished up repairs (new wheel bearings, axle seals, tie rods, greased tip-to-tail, axle fluid, transfer case fluid) from the August 2016 Louisiana Flood and finally hit the road again with my bobbed deuce! Couldn't tell the Ouverson locker was back there in the rear. Maybe I'm driving too...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

50 lbs of tannerite aughta do it. I would stand back though. Like way back.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Do you have any pictures of the lights installed? I found a crappy picture (here) of the Dialight 7" headlights, but it's at an angle. Interested to see how they compare to the Trucklite, J.W. Speaker and others.

Picked up a Nathan AirChime K5LA train horn today. Check my build thread in a week or so (after the rain quits) for the installation write-up!

What did you do to your deuce this week?

View this direct linked post from my build thread for removing rivets from the factory deuce frame. Bit sizes are 1/4" and 1/2". Drill halfway through the rivet. Then beat it out with a few whacks from a BFH and a punch. For those non-steelworker or non-carpenter types like me I clamp the...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Finished a flag pole mount on 10/31/15 in preparation for 2 Veteran's Day parades this weekend. The parade today was cancelled. Better weather tomorrow so the parade may still go on! Jump right to the post about the flag pole mount installation on my build thread: CLICK HERE.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Put in a transfer case lever shifter boot. No more hot air gusts from the floor. A/C just got colder! :D Check out my build thread below for more details. I only put highlights in this thread. Next up, a flag pole mount for 2 Veteran's Day Parades next weekend (Sat/Sun)!
