Finally got it pretty much done, it drives very nice! Have to adjust shift points, it is shifting to early. The torque convertor isn't locking up, need to drop pan and see why, it has 12v power at the trans connector so it has to be a wiring issue inside trans. I either put the connector on...
Getting the transmission rebuild close to being done, almost the whole trans is put back together. One little plastic piece inside the pump stopped me from doing any work, can't finish until I get the new part this afternoon.
Also in the pics just below we have a new correct TV cable, and a new correct 700r4 dip stick and tube! not in the pics is the clean trans pan with a new magnet.
More pics of sun shell, clean trans, 2/4 band servo that is disassembled, and trans reassembly jell. This is a must when rebuilding transmissions, NEVER EVER put a trans together dry, it is not done on a bearing don't do it to the trans. That is a sure way to fry one in a couple of hundred...
Starting to get some more parts in, it is taking longer to get parts because of Labor Day. The trans is completely torn down to the bare bones. Cleanest it has ever been since it was new!! The new clutch packs are rated for up too 1000 hp, got a new beast smart sun shell that is rated for...
Your welcome Jeff. Sorry it is taking a little longer than I thought, also sorry it might end up costing a little more than we had discussed. This trans will come with a one year unlimited mileage warranty, so if you have any problems I stand behind my work. I hope that by using the full line...
Yes this is the 32 spline NP205 from the turbo 400, the output shaft of the 700r4 is swaped for a 32 spline shaft, and the spacer converts the 4 bolt trans to the 6 bolt adapter.
Yes this is LofA's truck, he had someone do the rebuild and another shop do the installation, both did not really seam to know what they where doing. The shop that rebuilt the trans for him won't stand behind his work and fix it. He (LofA) is not very happy.
As you can see in pics, pan gasket cut, not sure why anyone would want to cut it, wires missing, no pressure switches, wires cut on solenoid for torque convertor lock-up, universal TV cables do not work, and the dipstick tube is out of a turbo 400. Also the magnet in the pan was missing, lots...
