    D60/14BFF Axle Swap on M1009

I used a barns shave cover before I put mine in. No welding required, just cutting the giant lip off the bottom and running 1 less bolt. There are more expensive kits that take way more work if you need more clearance.

Not without moving the spring pads on the axle. I believe the suburbans with 14b's have the correct spring pad spacing.

The 3/4 ton calipers don't have the tightest brake pads so they tend to make some rattling noise, I had to space my brackets out because they didn't center the caliper over the rotor, I don't have a parking brake (I know you can use the eldorado calipers but unless you buy an expensive kit, you...

I used a green 44T gear and kept the little converter box. You need a different housing if you want to get rid of that little box. My speedo is very very close to being on with 3.73 gears and 34.6" tires (315/75/16 ko2's)

A few things to add: front brake lines: I went with braided lines but you can use 2wd square body lines up front with a lift. They're a few inches longer. Just need to remove a metal bracket that is around the hose. The master cylinder was a direct bolt on other than having to move the lines...

    D60/14BFF Axle Swap on M1009

The d60 is a bolt in, I'd just get some new u bolts and studs. As far as brakes go I ended up buying a 1 ton master cylinder. The front and rear reservoirs are flipped but I was able to massage the stock lines a touch to swap them.

Easiest would be to get the new...
