    There are cheaper alternatives to an ASK kit if it does not need to be mobile, such as a small concrete block wall around the generator, etc.

    I doubt it, as to the noise issue, what sort of location are you going to be using it in? I find many people worry too much about the running noise of these generators, and while they are loud the 1800 rpm engines make it more of a roar than a scream, so it is not like someone is running a lawn...
