It did end up working just fine. I did need someone in the tow vehicle during backing up to turn or hold the wheel to keep the towed M1083s wheels in check.

The crack was from an over torqued oil pan bolt most likely. It went right from the bolt hole up about 2.5 inches behind the starter. Found a person who does that sort of skilled welding. Had to pull starter and oil dipstick tube. Pull the power steering res, drop the oil pan. Then he was able...

I’m having an inoperable 1083 dropped off about 3 blocks away in a dead mall parking lot so we can get it off the lowboy. I have to pull it with my 1079 back to my property. In the TM under towing disabled vehicle it still says turn it on and hit neutral. But this thing is an actual disabled...
