That comment was good for a laugh, lol. It wouldn't be legal to drive on road and no good off road. The humorous part was when I thought, "What's the point?"
I know that we have the Caiman, but it is built off of the FMTV chassis. It's a really smooth ride, but lacks a little in the performance department. They are designed to withstand a blast or heavy fire and get out of the kill zone, that's it. It's not made to be a rolling fortress.
I thought about putting 1/4" plate on my truck more for looks than functionality, even though it'd probably stop pistol calibers. This has been stuck in my head since getting back from the sandbox and riding in MRAPs. Just something about being in a MV and expecting to be bulletproof now:driver:
