I looked into installing one of the Fuller 6 speeds, but the ratios weren't any better than the auto (the jump between the top gears was even worse).
Somebody is always the "trail-blazer", does all the research, makes the costly mistakes, etc, resulting in an easier project for the rest of us...

Its great to see someone actually doing this swap! I never took it any farther than crawling under various semi trucks with a tape measure. I have a feeling that w/o moving the transfer case, your front prop shaft will clear (until the axle up front articulates)
One idea I had...
I'm considering the small Roadranger (RT-6610, 6613 or overdrive versions of these), however they are only rated for 600 lb-ft of input. Maybe a larger 10 speed with the smaller SAE 2 clutch housing would be a good fit. It would not have the LOW gear that the 13 has, and may be a few inches...
Bringing this back up. Anyone try this swap yet? I'm considering 9 or 10 speed box. Low-low gears in the transmission aren't really necessary due to low range in the transfer case. An overdrive gear would be nice, along with something a little less than 1:1.
I wonder how the transfer case...
