Handle flipped and cable stowed, ready to go!
Hauled and spread several loads of gravel over the summer, as well as moving a bunch of mud, rock and dirt around the farm. Tailgate worked flawless and made the dump bed even more useful!
Hopefully shes done working on the old pond…
Realized I forgot to post final pics
About 450# max tension throughout travel lowering tailgate.
Can never have enough reflective tape.
Side boards back on and bolted up.
Small hand crank winch and pulley works perfect for lowering and raising.
Think I need to add a small hand crank winch to close the tail gate back up.
Added a Buyers Products inspection door for dumping grain.
Chains will double as supports and opening limit gauges for spreading.
Any luck on installing a hoist yet?
This is what I came up with for a tailgate and mounts. Still need to weld everything out and paint. The top of the tailgate should support the sides while using the bottom latches, and I’ll probably move my 3/8 rod down to the top front of my side plates to...
If I remember right, it’s 1-1/4x1-1/4 tube with 1/4x1 flat in between, fits nice in these bastard sized pockets. I bent them pretty good already getting in a hurry dumping the loader, need to find someone that can rip a couple of pieces of 1-1/4 plate.
Welded some square tube together to make some uprights to run a piece of 3/8 rod between to help support the bed sides until I can get my tailgate built..
Keep digging for those pics m16y, would love to see them!
I started moving some more dirt over the weekend, might have to get the frame/hoop of the tailgate, made sooner than later to help support the sides in the rear. 3 scoops with the 977, about 7-8 yards. Getting my 13 year old used to...
No, just the factory floor with a light coat of rust, streaked from dumping a load old shingles.
The only load chart I can find is a scanned PDF that is very hard to make out. The closest bed specs to what I have, I believe reads 16'-3" to 16'-5" platform length, with 29" of overhang is...
Ok, here are some full articulation pictures for the Negative Nellies that think a scissors lift has to hit the intermediate axle... both tires on the rear axle hanging in the air.both intermediate axle bump-stops squished quite well.I forgot to bring a straight edge, but the airline spider on...
A tailgate exactly like you describe is a little ways out on the todo list. I think I'm going to make a tube frame that drops in the back troop seat pockets and bolts through the existing tailgate chain slots.
I have 24" of wood on top of the drop sides, but 18" would be plenty for 13 ton of...
Let me try thisThe path to the PDF is
