    Supplemental Electric Air Compressor

Other than the few bugs, how are the compressors working out, are you happy with their performance? What would you estimate their typical run time is when they cycle on? Keep up the great work and informative threads!

Excellent work as always! If you like those connectors, try some solder seal connectors if you get a chance. Thats all I use now, even as direct burry splices when the dog fence gets cut annually. Oldest splices are going on 10 yrs with no failures yet.

Cool, I need to do a little more digging on those. I have a 12v solar powered fence that would benefit from something like that.

Very nice, you really seem to know your way around the electrics. Is there some sort of low voltage, cutout switch, you could easily add to kill the compressors, if your battery voltage drops below a certain point?

Perfect! Somebody should have asked every last one of us this question "OK, how much is all this going to cost you ?" before we bought our trucks!!! I wonder how many would have changed their mind, or regretted the too much time and money that we spent?

    Supplemental Electric Air Compressor

Great information! I'm about 99% positive the two fitting in the manifold are check valves, now that I can see directional arrows on them. Unloading the head pressure may not be necessary depending on the application or design of the pump. As far as unloader holes check the nylon tube...

    Supplemental Electric Air Compressor

Thanks for the good pictures! It looks like you have breakers that you can use instead of fuses. Also, the fittings on the manifold from the compressors look suspiciously long, maybe check valves? If they are, look for a tiny hole on the compressor side that may be used to unload the compressors...

    Supplemental Electric Air Compressor

Yeh, I wouldn't bother with more tank capacity at this point. Also, If you don't have the compressor in hand, I would hold off on the check valve, as must conventional compressor setups already have one installed as part of their bleed-off system. Also, I think the specs posted are for just...

    Supplemental Electric Air Compressor

I thought he was installing this for a supplemental/backup? I would think 3 cfm would be quite sufficient for this, and better than extra tanks for build up speed? Why do they advertise them as continuos duty up to 150psi if they are not? I would hope he will have his cut out before 150psi...
