Well, I guess I don't need to post a link to my channel for you then.
I'm still collecting parts for the Cummins conversion. No idea how long it will take me.
The LDS465-1A originally had a different camshaft allowing more lift and duration, higher ratio intake rocker arms, pistons with more...
Matt, I've had locking hubs on my front axle for years now. I would suggest doing an upgrade to a better engine if your goal is to make your deuce like mine. I got 28,300 miles out of the LDS I installed when this thread was started. It actually pulled the #4 liner down into the oil pan and the...
Tom, give it a try. I don't like to run mine over on the governor for a long time, but I do sometimes run it at 2700 for hours on end.
Also, and I should've mentioned it long ago, but I found a much easier way to get both the counter shaft and mainshaft installed than using the wire and two...
It is kind of interesting that sometimes the truck will run faster at lower rpm, and sometimes it just wont. I guess the clutch could be slipping a bit sometimes, but I've never smelled it if that is the case.
Stock exhaust. With or without earpro, I can't hear the truck when I turn it up. And there is no amp for the speakers, just the woofer. I used two 6.5" kickers in the cab corners and two 4" speakers down in the front footwell area that I still have to mount. Right now they are just stuck to the...
The one I used is AM/FM, and digital media. Looks like a cd player but it isnt. No point because a cd would constantly skip while on the road.
I added a 50 amp Vanner equalizer to power the sound system, which does include one small woofer under the passenger seat. I don't need super gangsta...
No, not really. Make sure you use good speakers or you'll never hear it over idle.
I still have to get the amps and the sub hooked up, and mount the rear speakers and wire all four speakers to the four channel.
I dunno Rusty, from the video it only holds 35 mph uphill. Can't imagine higher gears would help, but you seem more in tune with that stuff than me. What do you think?
I'll give that a try. Will have to find a flat area, as both directions leaving my house are slight uphill grades, but I may try here anyway. I've never posted to YouTube either, so I'll have to figure that out. Must not be too hard if millions of other morons can do it.
No there isnt. I don't have a Gopro, and it was at night anyway. I dare not try to video it with my phone and drive at the same time, at least not at that speed.
