Didnt have time to take pictures. Working at a bar + st patricks day was crazy. Day like St. Paddy days make me wish I owned a large bar. We did over 17,000 in cover, and 65,000 in total sales(cover/food/booze). And I slept allday today, infact I didnt wake up until after the sunset, so I'll nab...
Once again I'm endebited to Ed and Aaron. They saved my ass again... Remind me never to try a turbo swap when suffering from sleep deprivation, or in general again.
But the good news is, The C turbo is in and man it sounds lovely.(side note. It stopped smoking so badly). It was fun. Met lots...
Stan you can always drive down a civy car.
Also i got a set of magnetic lights with a 20ft cord, so i can set them in his bed with the tailgate down.
But, well see how it goes. Like I told stalwart, If we have to head back down in the morning with a towbar to grab it, I will.
Ouch. You okay Aaron? I fell of my truck once while out in the sand and that hurt. Even hoping out of the back of my truck from the step on the bed, hurts my knees.
Hrm, Anyone got a mig welder on the way up, i the front half of a m105, i could weld some 4in by 3/8ths channel into, and just drill some holes for the pins =0. You could always call Brad and see if he would rent you one =0
If your truck isnt to far of the main route, it would be a good idea (at least in my opinion) to stay together. Just incase of any unforceen mechanical failure.
Well, Did a 20 mile test drive today on the WMO, running good, all fluids checked, brakes working, I'm good to go.
Also is anyone bringing any tools? I was going to bring mine, but I'd have to let them sit in the bed of my truck for about 7 hours tonight in the middle of downtown Portland...
Hrm.. For some reason it wont let me edit my last post, but I forgot to say something.
If anyone is intersted in getting an Air-O-Matic for there truck, but wants to test drive a truck with one, I'd be willing to let those intersted take my truck for a spin.
I dont think the deuce compresser could keep up, other wise id run it right off the truck.
Other then a slight rough idle when its cold, didnt notice much of a difference in power or anything.
Yeh it took me an hour to move a 55gallon drum because i had to stop every 5 minutes to let my compresser rebuild pressure.
And on a side note, just dumped in 10 gallons of oil/gas mix into the tank, going to put 20-30 miles on it before i put any more in the tanks.
and by the way i double...
Well there might be another slight change of plans... If Dan cant get SRO's truck tomorrow, if we can scavage up a towbar, I told him I'd swing by haul his truck up. Should know for sure tomorrow.
Also, Can you PM me brads number, or next time ya talk to him, see how much for set of westcoast...
I also need a set of west coast mirrors. Totally forgot bout that. As much as I pull trailers, these tiny little mirrors I have make even backing up a 20ft trailer a pain. So if someone out there has 2 sets of mirrors =0
I use an airpowered HF oil pump(ike 70 bucks), and pump it threw 10 micro fuel/water seperator i got from napa. i havent filtered a barrel yet, im doing that tomorrow. but i also have a few drums of gas, so i plan on cutting it 70/30 at least.
Well in my defense, i had my truck serviced, today, New belts, New filters, oil change, and a rad flush.
I also plan on running WMO for the first time this weekend. So hopefully it runs fine.
