I’m in Florida and I installed a Gen 1, and after trying everything to get it to cool better I gave up and ripped out just the Gen 1 unit and put a Gen 2 unit in and now in here Florida it’s makes it so cold I wish it had a lower than low fan setting.
My experience here in Florida with tinted windows and in the middle of the day, it does ok. It does not make it so cold you have to turn it down ...if that helps.

Check out page 6 were I explain what I did. It will also work for Gen2 units. The primary difference between Gen 1 and 2 units besides the external obvious vents is the internal parts...Gen 1 is all...
I'll try to help out with the wiring but understand that this is based on my Gen1 Evaporator unit and that you should only do this if you are qualified and fully understand the system. Don't take what I say as fact for all circumstances as yours may be different and you should always verify you...
I'm not using the stock condenser though. I'm using one from the humvee kit that is 17"x32"x2.5" and has 4 layers of tubes. With both fans running continuously while the AC is on. Also they are pulling the air through the coils. Mounted behind the cab. Here's a link to more pictures of my AC...
I don't think that could be my issue, my reasoning is based on the fact that it can start it early in the morning with a cold engine and cab and it will quickly get to 60 degrees and will stay at that temp even while the the engine is cold the thermostat is closed when the engine is at proper...
I know very little of AC systems. But what makes the difference between my 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee AC blowing 40 degrees parked right next to my LMTV with a new AC and a condenser at least twice the size, blowing 65 degrees? Both of them in the Florida sun at 90 degrees and 82% humidity. I've...
I used 134a and the coldest it will get is 50 degrees measured at the air vent, which was a little disappointing as I was expecting 40 degrees with such a large condenser.
Please put my name on one each of those brackets. I was in the processes of designing a mount to go on the generator side and adding a V pulley to the generator pulley. Instead of a idler pulley I was going to making the compressor bracket adjustable. But I much rather go with original parts for...
So the brackets are one part of the puzzle. Does any one have the other parts, such as the idler pulley and the pulley that goes behind the fan or replaces the fan pulley?
