    Hello from CT, M831A Question

Well you tell me if a $2000+ purchase that is not as described, you would follow through with if you had to? 831s are no rare bird. If the OP wants one, very easy to acquire any day of the week whether on craigslist, ebay, or via a SS reseller.

    Hello from CT, M831A Question

Would you want to do business with a company who has told you to screw? I am SURE the original poster can find a machine he desires anywhere without these Ritchie Bros fools. Iron Planet keeps going down hill under their ownership... I have seen and experienced it first hand.
  3. Light in the Dark

    Hello from CT, M831A Question

    I wouldn't.

    Hello from CT, M831A Question

They have proven they arent calling you back (they never called me back either). Call them and demand they release you from the charge. If they blow you off again, credit card company does its thing. Don't let jerks have their way, I certainly wouldnt. You just got rock solid confirmation of...

    Hello from CT, M831A Question

I would call them, and get them to cancel the auction bid over the phone with you (with the cancellation confirmed by email). If they don't let the CC company handle it.

    Hello from CT, M831A Question

Any luck? Waiting on a call back from them too about something else... customer attentiveness is not their strong suit.
  7. Light in the Dark

    Hello from CT, M831A Question

Let us know how you make out with the auction house
  8. Light in the Dark

    Hello from CT, M831A Question

As I said by PM... I think the ball is in your court. You have 8 days from auction end to pick it up I think I saw. Square the discrepancy away with Richie Bros first.
  9. Light in the Dark

    Hello from CT, M831A Question

I highly doubt a well pump will appreciate 50hz, and probably not the minisplit either, but at least with that one you can visually find the data plate on it to confirm what voltage and hertz range it will operate under.
  10. Light in the Dark

    Hello from CT, M831A Question

Many digital items are 100-240hz (and accept 50 and 60hz). Not all modern appliances are running off auto converting DC power sources though. Do you run a well pump?
  11. Light in the Dark

    Hello from CT, M831A Question

Are you 100% positive? There were auctions last Wed/Thur that were called out as not being 831As, but an alternate part number and a lot of similar images. If the heading says that, but the content does not... you might have grounds with Richie Bros. You might not too, if the alternate photos...
  12. Light in the Dark

    Hello from CT, M831A Question

There were a few oddball sets in this prior weeks Fermont auction that appeared to be 50hz units for overseas use. You need to buy a kill a watt meter (unless you have a multimeter that displays hertz) and plug it into this machine and see what its actually producing.
