Ok guys I've decided to go ahead and buy a new sleeve with pin.I don't have access to a lathe to make the pin.I will make a video on working on transmission while installed in truck.

That's some good info do you know the part number if I decide to get a new sleeve with pin. If I can fab pin by hand I will.

Can I do it without dropping trans from the top?

Is there a diagram of how that pin works in the transmission can I get it at a local parts house?

Can I get to it from the top of the tranny without dropping again that pin is no good and I'll need to get a new one does it just ride in that hole and on the main shaft?

It looked like a rivet all crushed or part of the manufacturing as in supposed to be punched out.I ll have to see if there's any info online.I thought it was an oil hole that shouldn't be plugged

It was flopping in there G I did not put that in there because like you said it's not in the TM.The transmission is back in my truck will it cause an issue?

OK guys after talking to Tom and looking at 2&3 and syncro only need 4&5 syncro and a new fifth gear everything else looked great so only need bearings and seals..

My syncro I have apart still one I have to take off is in bad shape so just gonna fix it all right then won't ever have to worry or wonder.

Because the wrong bearing/s were used in my case caused excessive wear or at least that's what I've learned so far from everyone.It didn't feel right one of the internal ones felt real sloppy too.I am not gonna chance it and replace all of them both seals front and rear leaked.

Like Tom said and g it's because of either the bearing or seal or gasket or plugged vent you will need to pull tranny .I would if I were you it will get expensive if you dont.I

I cleaned it often with brake cleaner and that is why everything still looked really good .
