    How prone to cracking are the main bearing webs when removing the main cap bolts?

    Have you dug in to it yet? Do you know if it's cracked? Some series blocks are more prone to cracking than others. I don't remember which offhand. Removing and reinstalling the bolts don't cause the cracks. If it's not cracked, rebuild it with ARP studs and a girdle. If there are cracks, they...
