    Unfortunately, I really suck at taking pictures during a build. I always plan on it and my hand are greasy so I defer it, or I just plain forget. Heck, I did the full M1088A1 to M1083A1 conversion and only got about 5 pictures. I can post pictures of everything now that it is mostly done, but...

    Are hydraulic winches hard to come by?

    I spent most of yesterday finishing up the install of one of the winches on a M1083A1. it is possible to do it with the transmission still in the truck, but it is a real pain. The rest of the install is a lot of heavy lifting, but not overly complicated if you have all the parts.
